Our couples sessions are generally dating couples that are about to get married, so it is always nice to have the opportunity to be able to do different sessions, whether of anversary or any other occasion.
Today we bring to the blog a small selection of photos of the session we did a few weeks ago with Colin and Mable. Although they have lived in the UK for many years, Colin and Mable make a break whenever they can in Hong Kong. We plan the photos as a couple session in one of the most emblematic places of the city and we took the opportunity to make a few photos of his son Dominic who lives here.
Family Photos have something very special that keeps our memories forever.
About a year and a half ago we came to live in Hong Kong and we definitely moved our studio to this part of Asia.
Since then, we have been fortunate enough to tell stories of dozens of couples, not only from Hong Kong but from the most remote places in the world. Canada, Australia, Thailand, Ukraine, Malaysia, UK, Singapore ... are just a few examples. It's been great to meet people from different places and tell their love stories, each one totally different. Each one absolutely magical.
Something curious has happened. Since our last wedding in Spain, we had not had a session with Spanish again. Maria and Salva came to change this. It has been great to meet such a great and fun couple. It has been fantastic to share jokes and be able to spend the day of the wedding with them and also in Spanish. A very special, intimate and fun wedding.
A couple of weeks ago we went to enjoy and make some pictures to the wedding of Vivienne and Mark.
The wedding was in Grand Hyatt in Wanchai in a very beautiful environment celebrating with all the family.
I told here a lot of times how wonderful is wedding photographer. Couples that starts as customers and become friends. Know a lot of new people and very different kind of people that share with you intimate moments and wonderful stories. All of this, making the thing you most love, capturing memories with your camera.
Other times, it's quite different like in this post. I know Vera long years ago. She is one of the best friends of Kelly, so for us this is very special session.
Vu and Linda came form Montreal to stay a few days in Hong Kong and take the chance to have an engagement session with us. Vu is all vitality. Linda is sweet and with a wonderful smile. Both are super funny and nice people. We enjoyed a long engagement session to say bye bye to 2016 around Victoria harbor and part of Kowloon.
Close to finish 2016 we have still some nice sessions to show you before starts the new year. This time I want to share with you the anniversary session that we made in Hong Kong with Jaysen and Celine at the beginning of December.
They were married 5 years ago and want to celebrate this year in hong Kong with a cool trip and a fresh photo session. Celine and Jaysen thinks that a perfect couple must to be always happy, together and in a continuous honeymoon. Is not a bad plan!
Even Celine run her own blog http://theforeverhoneymooners.com about their own experiences.
When Daria wrote me asking about be the photographer of her wedding she alerted me that the wedding will be something small and special. She was right. Daria is from Ukraine and Ben, his now husband, from Australia. They decided make a intimate wedding in Going Kong before go to live China. I loved their love story and I think we connects fast.
The wedding day was rainy and quite cold, but as usual this is not very important. Dasha and Ben were very happy and excited for the wedding and they enjoyed a lot during the celebration and the small session we made. Sometimes the only big you need in your wedding day is the love to share one each other, the rest could be intimate, small and wonderful at the same time.
Effie and Kevin has two weddings celebration. The first happened in Singapore as is the Effie's home country and the second one in Hong Kong, the place where they are living and the Kevin's city. If make one wedding is a hard job for the couple, I can't imagine two in just a few weeks!
We published some months ago the pre-wedding session of them here. You can see the portfolio entry of the engagement session here. Effie and Kevin is the kind of couple that enjoy together because they are natural and funny. I want to share with all of us a few pictures of their wedding in Hong Kong.
Last week, I met Beth and Jeff to make a couple session in Disneyland Hong Kong. They came form Korea to stay a few days here and that wanted to have a session inside the park. For Beth is Disney is even more special place than for the rest. She worked in the past in Disneyworld in Orlando and she is big fan of Disney. We enjoyed a very hot afternoon in Disney HK and I want to share with al of you a few pictures of the session. You can see clicking in "Continue reading" button.
I want to share with all of you today the slideshow of Yisan and Kevin Wedding day and some of the pictures in the Portfolio section.
Thanks and congratulations again! Yisan and Kevin are the kind of couples I like to have... Smart, funny and with a lot of humor sense.
]]>A very special post this time.
I am happy to be photographer because I love my job, I love be storyteller with my images and share with the people in a very special moment of their lives. But above all of this, I have the good luck to become very good friend of the couples that I know. Sometimes just have good feeling and work smooth in their wedding day, other times we keep the contact and have nice relationship. Other times even we become really friends. This is the case of Lamphay and Paulo.
The story comes quite long now. they contacted with me in early 2015 because they will get married in Portugal. Paulo is Portuguese and Lamphay is Thai but they are living in Canada so want to make a small celebration in Portugal with Paulo's family.
So we met in August 2015 in Sintra in a really cute and elegant wedding. Actually you can see a review in my portfolio here. One year later they decided to celebrate the wedding with friends in Thailand at the same time that we just moved our studio from Spain to Hong Kong they hired us again for the wedding in a paradise island called Ko Samiu. After that, we are more than simple friends so for me is very special show some pictures of the celebration in Thailand.
]]>A few days ago we went with Effie and Kevin to make a photo session to a park in Hong Kong. We enjoy a lot with the session. Engagement session is a great idea to have a few nice pictures out of the wedding day that can remind us with the time how we are in these moments without a lot of extra make up and normal clothes. Is a funny way to take confidence with the camera for the Big day and grow up the relationship between the couple and the photographer that I think is the real key to capture the feelings of such important moment.
]]>When a few months ago Yisan contacted with me to ask about to be his photographer in their wedding day, I know that she and Kevin is the kind of couple that I love to work. Nice, funny, with a lot of love...
As they are moving around Asia for different reasons finally we can't arrange the engagement session until last Sunday.
We enjoy a lot in the Sunday afternoon in Tsin Sha Tsui area, the perfect place to take nice pictures and enjoy with a freeze beer at the end. :-)
I want to share with all of us the slideshow of the session and the entry in the portfolio section.
]]>But now, that we start to get more and more visits from Hong Kong people and around we decided to start to make some improvements in the webpage. Tradicional and simplified Chinese translation is one of the biggest thing we want to have done during the year.
The other point is revamp the blog to make more friendly, moro social and more easy to us to upload content on regular basis.
As the last blog posts are updated and don't give too much value, we quit all and started from zero with the blog. Welcome to the new blog!! We are still testing some functionalities so sorry if something doesn't work smooth in the first few days!
